The courtyard has been laid with decking and provides two seating areas for al fresco dining and an arbour seat with wonderful views of the sea. This area is available for guests sole use.
There is space to park one car in the courtyard area beside the cottage, inside the garden gates. Plus, one parking permit is provided for a second car if required (it will be left inside the cottage for you). This permit can be used to park in any of the parking spaces along Quay West and Quay St in Minehead (please though avoid parking outside neighbours properties). If you have more than 2 cars in your group, there is pay and display parking along Quay West, there are machines along the road or you can use the Phone and Pay app, (a weekly permit bought via Phone and Pay costs £25). The nearest free parking is on the North Hill road, where you can walk down a short path to the harbour.
Please note: When there is a storm, large stones can be thrown up from the beach! These can be thrown half way across the road so we suggest that if a storm is forecast - leave extra cars down in the public car park by the Old Ship Aground pub.

+ More Great location and brilliant home for our stay
We recently stayed at seagulls rest 14/3/25 Excellent location! The house had everything we needed it was like being home from home handy to have the pub just on the doorstep too, the weather was also really good which was a bonus. Thank you for a wonderful stay Gray
We had a lovely stay at Chris's house. It is in a wonderful location right by the harbour overlooking the sea but is in easy walking distance of the town. Everything was immaculate in the house, cosy warm and clean. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Exmoor and all it has to off....
MoreGreat stay for 5 nights in a peaceful and beautiful setting. House was perfect for our needs and we really enjoyed the cupboard full of games! Kitchen was fabulously equipped and the bathrooms very new and clean! Bedding and towels were white and crisp. A great find! Along with fab weather ....
MoreThe communication when the heating needed to be altered was great. Lovely and clean and well equipped.
Could not fault it. Only one blip in communication when we had called and asked for late check out and was promised a call back and nothing happened. Steve was amazing. The house was a bit chilly on arrival and I contacted him about this. He told me how to rectify situation but he also monitored it ....
MoreVery enjoyable start whilst working away in the area.
Wonderful cottage, perfect location. Great host, nice festive touches, great amenities. Very homely. Very highly rec
Fantastic location for us, we had a fishing competition and the cottage was walking distance to the harbour, pub and local cafe. Could do with a light next to the key safe, had to use a torch to see the numbers, other than that, everything was spot on.
This was the second time we visited, although we love it and had an amazing time, the cleanliness was not great and there were only two toilet rolls.
